I love this! An author on facebook asked me about reading her book. I said to email me. Well she must have took it as a sure thing I was going to read the book. But her book was not in my genre I read so I decided not to read it. Its been over a year and she is still asking me to read it. I don’t want to get rude with her, but its getting annoying.
Argh! Seriously? Man, that’s frustrating. Send her a link to this post hahaha!
to be honest, I often forget who has my book unless THEY message me to tell me they finished it. In that case, I usually either a) ask them if they would mind leaving a review or b) ask them to please link me if they leave a review anywhere, as I would love to read their thoughts in full.
I suppose if people kept track of everyone who had a copy of their book, that could really stress them out.
So, when are you going to review Her Sweetest Downfall, anyway. HAHA. Damnit, you know I’m kidding. In all seriousness, though, maybe it would be easier if authors just sent their books out to more reviewers and then sat back and waited. I don’t have the answers for this, but I have to admit that I stress MYSELF out about getting to the books on my to-read list, and I’m not sure I could handle being further pressured by outside sources to get around to reading and reviewing them.
Exactly! That’s perfect. You’re right—keeping track of the reviews just sounds stressful.
And haha! I’m working on it, promise
